Ok I’m a slack Tart part one!

I must apologize to all my avid readers of my blog for not writing sooner….. Tumbleweed) blows past with wind whistling.

Well it has been very busy and weird at work I have a new job which I start in the beginging of may all very exciting, as I had been working towards this position for at least 2.5 years. Now that I have secured it I only hope that I can doit as well as people who are in the role seem to perform at it.

There has been one person that I need to thank in pushing me both mentally and vocationally. KB… A colleague of mine who has nearly killed me from frustration that I provided on at least several times and has been a source of encouragement and inspiration.

Who’d of  thought when I first took my present role with KB watching over me like a hawk would prepare me to attain levels of organising that would only come close to the levels that KB has been projecting for a many a year.

So thanks KB you are a big bright shinning star, but I’m sure that TK tells you that everyday…. TUFLSM (throws up from laughing so much).

I read in the SMH this morning that petrol prices will raise to 3 bucks a litre! As the worlds oil resources dry up. Just to give some perspective to this situation for every 4 barrels of oil that we use we only find one barrel.

I firmly believe that in our lifetimes we will see the oil reserves run out. Then it will be either back to horse and cart times… hmm people on the central coast are going to have fun coming to work. Or hopefully we will have worked out a way to make cheap hydrogen powered cars. The funny thing about this is that currently the tanks in the hydrogen powered cars today are pressurised at 5000 psi so that would make any accidents a lot more fun surely.

Ok enough doom and gloom… Some good news I have finally managed to get my isa box working a treat now. Which is great! Many thanks to butthead and co for actually coming around to my place and doing some hard yards. Now all I need to do is get the VPN working through the firewall.  (Sigh the work is never done)

Tonight I’m off to see Ben Folds this is the last concert that me and Lauren (saucy partner) are seeing. We have seen 7 live concerts in the last 5 months, doesn’t really sound like much when you put it on paper but the main problem is the hassle of going to one of concerts, if you drive you cant find parking if you take the train you are going with 2 million other fans that just are a pain in the rectum. Some how all of this was a lot easier when you are 18/19.

On the home front mum is in good sprits although she keeps telling me that the computer that we gave her is on the blink. Apparently when she turns it on some time she receives the message “no input received” which to me indicates that the screen is on but the computer is not.  I try to explain this to mum but she seems to think that she starts to use a computer for the very basic email that she is an expert. Oh well that is what mums are for I guess. My younger brother is coming home soon, for his graduation. This will be a welcome break from having to teach mum how to use the computer. (That is hard work) But before he comes home he has to become a single man again which means breaking the heart of the lovely US bird that he have been give a ride too for the last 3 months. FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC I say I thinks the best idea as he needs to sow many a oat whilst he is in the US and this cant be done with a rock around your neck.

I have been reading a very good blog lately from one of TK mates Darren. I’m not sure what it is about his blogging but it’s very addictive, almost like watching a train wreck. It could be the fact that he has blogged his life for the last 5 years, with an entry at least once a month. I hope that I can manage at least 1/3 of that effort. I need to get more interesting.

Ok I have the “are you ready to head off to Ben folds call” from the significant other so that is a sure sign to move on. Look for part 2 of this exciting series tomorrow when I update how the concert was and if anything exciting happened.
